Header Bidding Documentation

This page guides you through the simple process of adding Header Bidding to your website.

If you have any questions or suggestions, please contact our technical support team at Publisher Support or your contact person at Ströer.

Ad tag integration

You will receive an ad tag. Please make sure that the tag is implemented in every HTML site, even if no ads are shown. To ensure that the auction and therefore the delivery of the ads is started as soon as possible, please implement the new script directly at the top of the <head> section.

Here's what the ad tag should look like:

<script src="https://cdn-a.yieldlove.com/v2/yieldlove.js?samplewebsite.com"></script>

Please implement the script in a test environment so that we can verify the proper implementation.

Source code related to your Ad Manager configuration does not need to be changed.

What you need to do

Please set up a new user for your Ad Manager account and provide API access to admin@yieldlove.com.

Background

When a user visits your website, the Header Bidding solution will carry out a unified real-time auction across the connected demand partners. At the conclusion of the auction the winning bid for each ad unit will then be passed on to the corresponding Ad Manager ad-unit using custom keys. This allows Google Ad Exchange as well as direct campaigns to compete on the price for every single impression dynamically within Ad Manager.

The setup engine carries out all necessary configuration in the Ad Manager. In particular, 10 orders with 400 line items each, corresponding to different price ranges will be created. This is to reach a high level of price granularity for dynamic allocation.

None of the changes and settings associated with the Header Bidding will interfere with your current configurations. All configurations made by Ströer are labeled as such and can be reverted within minutes by simply disabling them. At any given time, setup and ongoing maintenance will be supervised by our ad operations managers.

Reporting

You can view performance metrics on website and ad unit level in the performance dashboard. Access it via the Performance Dashboard using the credentials you have received.

In addition, you can access performance reports programmatically via the Reporting API. For details, refer to the API section in the reporting dashboard (click on your email address in the top right, then on API).
